Staff - all so nice and helpful even when did not speak English. We loved (and could live there!): hotel (public area, rooms, shower area) - beautiful design, surrounding grounds - all green and well maintained, Pool area and hammocks. Also, it's a small hotel so not crowded. We liked: pools (not heated, were little cold even in August), spa area - the saunas. We less liked: spa area - beautiful outside jacuzzi but not heated and gets little sun so we could not get in. I am pointing it out because I was looking for a hotel with a hot tub.

Breakfast was basic continental but no complaints. Delicious croissants & jams, complimented by a few odds and sods. Room was basic and tired, as was the building & decor, but the setting in the countryside is beautiful. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Parking was plentiful and the gardens and orchards were glorious. We did not have time to make use of the spa and the beautiful pool - which is a shame as it looked great!
